IQBS $500 Scholarship Award


ConnectingUs.net - is now accepting applicant entries for its’ first scholarship award. This $500.00 scholarship is available for applicants with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or higher. Eligible applicants are college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or high school seniors.

All applicants are required to complete all three sections of our entry process to be considered for the IQBS scholarship award. Section one will require you to complete brief tasks. Section two will require a very brief written synopsis. Candidates will be evaluated on how efficient they communicate without sacrificing effectiveness and quality. The final section will consist of instructions on submitting the final entry application. Those who fail to follow instructions will be disqualified. Good luck to each and every applicant

Section I. Review helpful links on this site Set a goal, research, and document information that will assist in achieving the goal.

  1. Write a brief sentence stating your goal for this scholarship( less than 25 words).
  2. Review this site (Connectingus.net) and any external non commercial sources found on the site that may assist you in achieving your goal.
  • Choose a page from each site you believe will help you obtain your goal.
  • Submit the link to the page which contains information that may assist you.
  • Briefly state how each page may be useful in obtaining your goal.

Section II. Writing Your Synopsis

Write a short synopsis on your goal use 1 to 350 wordsEach applicant is required to write a synopsis on their overall goal while in college and what has been or will be accomplished during your stay.

The board is interested in knowing how effective each applicant can communicate using 350 words or less not including spaces. All applicants who exceed 350 words will not be considered for the scholarship.

Section III. Submitting Your Application

All applicants should forward their entry by e-mail to 1stscholarship@connectingus.net for consideration. Be sure to include:

  • Your full name (FIRIST,MIDDEL INITIAL, LAST),
  • Current Grade, (EX. Sr. high school or Sophomore College).
  • Name of the high School or college your are attending,
  • GPA on a 10 point scale (If your on a different scale, include the information),
  • Paste your completed answers from section 1 along with your synopsis in section 2 your email (We can not accept attachments due to potential viruses),
  • Sent the entry information to 1stscholarship@connectingus.net for consideration.

Deadline

Due to a misprint of the original deadline date in one of our correspondence circulated, a new deadline date for submitting an entry will be on April 30 2008. The announcement date for the winner will be moved from May 30, 2008 to June 16th, 2008.

Old Deadline Date: March 30, 2008
New Deadline Date is: April 30, 2008

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates for our student scholarship must meet the following criteria

  • Grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or higher,
  • Eligible applicants are currently full-time college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or high school seniors.

Winner Requirements:

The winner will be required to:
• Verify their grade point average (GPA),
• Verify the college they will attending in 2008 – 2009 to receive the scholarship,
• High school seniors most have to have been accepted in a college.

Failure to submit documentation to support your application will result in disqualification. The runner up will become the new winner of the scholarship award.

Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.
