ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:

McKesson Automation is a Pittsburgh-based firm that manufactures and markets inpatient medication management systems that help hospitals re-engineer their medication-use process to improve cost savings and enhance the quality of care. McKesson Automation is the only vendor in the world that provides a complete and integrated "closed-loop" solution to automate the medication-use process. All products are based on a foundation of bar coding to help ensure accurate medication ordering, dispensing, administering and tracking.

McKesson Automation is an integral division of the McKesson Health Systems Group which provides solutions for hospitals including comprehensive pharmaceutical and supply distribution services, information management systems, leading-edge technology and clinical decision support services.

Customers include hospitals of all sizes including small community hospitals, to large university hospitals to integrated delivery networks.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the technical training staff in creating and editing technical training manuals and classes for McKesson Automation products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate with team in redesign of existing product training classes, including conducting needs analysis, writing course objectives, developing curriculums, creating scenarios, and writing test items.
  • Help team to ensure the training materials are accurate and understandable from an end-user perspective.
  • QA technical documentation for new software releases by reviewing the documented procedures against the software.
  • Assist the training team in planning and delivering annual employee training event.
  • Learn and use basic functionality of tools such as FrameMaker and GameShow Pro.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Training:

  • Coursework toward a degree in adult education or learning technology

Knowledge/Skills:

  • · Working knowledge of computer software, PC Windows, Microsoft Office Professional
  • · Strong written and oral communication skills
