Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships

Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored diversity organization dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of African-American employees at Microsoft Corporation. Each year, BAM awards two $2,500 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology. The scholarships are renewable, so winners who continue to meet the criteria can receive an annual $2,500 award for up to four years. Deadline is March 29th. Visit Microsoft

Boeing National Merit Scholarship

Every year Boeing provides scholarships to children of Boeing employees who are selected as National Merit Scholarship winners. Students enter this academic competition their junior year of high school by taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in the fall. BURGER KING Scholars Program

Every year, the BURGER KING Scholars Program helps graduating high school seniors build brighter futures. The awards ($1,000 each) are sponsored annually by the fundraising efforts of Burger King Corporation, BURGER KING franchisees, and our restaurant guests in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Kohl's Kids Who Care Scholarship

Kohl’s Kids Who Care Scholarship program focuses on volunteerism rather than academic performance. Numerous scholarships are given to youth making a difference in their communities through contributions of time and talent. Kohl’s has more than $200,000 to award but nominations must be received by March 15, 2007. Time is running out to nominate young volunteers for Kohl’s Kids Who Care scholarships. The online nomination process is easy and could win volunteers ages 6 – 18 one of many $1,000 and $5,000 scholarships. Visit Kohl's for details

Lowe’s Scholarship

Lowe’s Home Improvement - The Lowe’s Scholarship and the Carl S. Buchan Scholarship.
The Lowe’s Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to attend any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university within the United States. Winners are selected based on leadership qualities, community involvement and academic performance. The Carl S. Buchan Scholarship is open to any Lowe’s employees, spouses and their dependants. The employee must have had at least 90 days of service with the company as of Jan. 1 and must still be employed when the awards are announced in May. In more than 350 scholarships totaling more than $450,000 were awarded in both categories nationwide. Applications are available here. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Scholarship

The RMHC Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible graduating high school seniors who face limited access to educational and career opportunities. Students are selected and awards are distributed based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and community involvement. Additional selection criteria may be specified by the respective participating local RMHC Chapter based on strategic goals and community needs. The deadline for the academic year is February 15. Scholarship Program Challenges High-School Students to Make a Difference

Microsoft Corp. launched its second annual You Can Make a Difference scholarship program, which challenges secondary school students around the world to design technology-based projects to benefit charitable organizations. Previously available only to students from the United States and Canada, the program has been expanded this year to include high-school and secondary-school students around the world. Siemens Teacher Scholarship

The Siemens Teacher Scholarship initiative was launched in March 2005 in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund and the United Negro College Fund, to encourage minority students to consider careers teaching math and science.The funds will be administered by the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund and the UNCF - which will be awarded based on academic merit and financial need.
